🚒🇺🇸 HONOR. REMEMBER. NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸🚒

Today, the Martin County Fire Rescue Cadets proudly participated in the 9/11 Memorial Bridge Walk, paying tribute to the 343 firefighters, countless first responders, and thousands of innocent lives lost on that tragic day.

With every step, they walked in remembrance of the courage, sacrifice, and unity that emerged from the ashes 24 years ago.

We are proud of our cadets for upholding the legacy of service and dedication to community. 🚒🇺🇸

❌WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE❌

A word from our Senior Cadet Coordinator:

Dear Prospective Cadet Families,
You are receiving this email because you or your child have previously expressed interest in joining the Martin County Fire Cadet Program. We are excited to announce our annual Open House, which will take place on Saturday, July 12 at 9:00 AM.
This meeting is mandatory for all prospective cadets and their parents or guardians. Attendance is required for admission consideration, as we have only 10 available spots this year, and selection is highly competitive.
The Open House will be divided into two sessions:
• Parents/Guardians will receive a comprehensive presentation outlining the structure, expectations, and benefits of the Cadet Program.
• Potential Cadets will participate in a two-part evaluation conducted by our current cadets. This includes:
◦ A physical assessment (push-ups, sit-ups, tower climb, and hose roll hoist), some of which will be performed while wearing a weighted vest. (Bring some athletic wear to complete this part. Male and female bathrooms are available at the training facility)
◦ An oral interview to evaluate communication and interpersonal skills.
This evaluation mirrors aspects of the actual hiring process and is designed to give applicants a real-world glimpse into the fire service.
We understand you may have questions, and we will address all of them during the Open House.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing more about this exciting opportunity.
Best regards,
Martin County Fire Cadet Program
