Martin County Pre-K Programs The Martin County School Districts Pre-K Programs are made up of Voluntary Prekindergarten and Head Start.

We are located at 11 Elementary Schools as well at 4 independent sites in Martin County. We aim to prepare our students to succeed in K and beyond! The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program -- or VPK -- prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's developm

ent. The National Head Start Association is a nonprofit organization committed to the belief that every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to succeed in life. We provide a foundation for your child's education as well as social services for the entire family.

🌟 PWE VPK Panthers with Mrs. Kennedy have been having a fantastic time! From celebrating birthdays 🎂 to enjoying playground adventures and showing off their hard work, every day is filled with learning, laughter, and fun.
A special shoutout to one of our amazing volunteers! ❤️ This little Panther's older sibling, a former Pinewood student and current 8th grader at HOMS, loves spending time helping in the classroom until the bus arrives. We are so grateful for the positive role models who continue to give back to our school community!

One of the most rewarding parts of early childhood education is seeing the lasting impact that strong relationships have on children long after they leave the Pre-K classroom. ❤️

During a recent rainy day dismissal at CLE, several former VPK students were excited to stop by and say hello to Mrs. Cassell. These special moments are a reminder that the encouragement, care, and support provided in Pre-K can stay with children for years to come.
When students know they are loved, valued, and believed in, they carry that confidence with them as they grow and take on new challenges. The bonds formed in early childhood help create a foundation for success both in and out of the classroom.

Today, Principal Gilbride had a wonderful visit to Warfield Elementary's Pre-K classrooms!

Students were busy learning through retelling stories, creating art, exploring centers, and engaging in meaningful play. It was extra special since Principal Gilbride previously served as Warfield's Assistant Principal, and several current Warfield staff members have children in our Pre-K program who were excited to share their learning and snap a few photos!

We were also thrilled to see CBS News visit and interview Head Start teacher Ms. Farias for an upcoming teacher feature. We are so proud to have our amazing Pre-K and Head Start programs represented!
