After 23 yrs., my role as managing conductor of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony finally comes to an end. I've announced my retirement as managing conductor of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony. It has been a real pleasure to share my passion for classical orchestra with talented young artists of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony. Looking back and realizing the vast scope of students who have performed with the orchestra, it's almost a "who's who" in the world of up-and-coming future leaders. Knowing that I was a part of their musical foundation is something I will cherish forever. Monday, April 29t is my last concert with the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony. If you want to be a part of this send-off concert, it's at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 400 Seabrook Rd, Tequesta, Fl. Tickets are available at the door. I literally go out with a bang, as we perform Tchaikovsky's "The 1812 Overture". Some special thanks.... To all of the audiences that have attended our concerts, thank you for your continued support. It was a real pleasure bringing fun and exciting music into your lives. To all of our current and former TCYS students, thank you for allowing me to a part of your musical development. To say the least, we shared some fantastic musical moments together. Please stay in touch as we will always have that special bond. And lastly, a special thank you to Dr. John Enyart, who graciously allowed me to be a part of the orchestra. He's the one who started the orchestra in 1988 and he brought me on board in 2001. Without his invitation, none of this wouldn't have happened. Don't worry, I'm not riding off into the sunset, just changing gears and direction. My jazz piano interests have piqued my interest and now has become my next chapter in my musical life. Looking forward to be able to spend more time developing my jazz chops! And to my piano clients, don't worry. That part of my life remains the same.
