Meet Gloria James!

Gloria is currently attending Lancaster Bible College, where she shines as a first violinist in the college orchestra. Even though she’s away at school, she always returns to the Pocono Suzuki Studio for lessons when she’s home on break to continue sharpening her skills.

Her parents, Reggie and Jesse James, had this to say:

🌱 A Musical Family Tree 🪴🎻

𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨: In the world of Suzuki teaching, music is more than notes—it’s a legacy of love, learning, and connection passed from teacher to student, generation to generation. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this living tradition.

My own mentor and teacher trainer, Linda Wear Fiore, studied directly with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki—the visionary violin educator whose joyful, heart-centered approach continues to shape young musicians around the world.

That makes Dr. Suzuki my musical grandfather… 🌳
And if you’re one of my students (or a parent of one), you’re part of this family tree too—rooted in kindness, playfulness, and the belief that every child can learn.

As Dr. Suzuki said:

“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.” 💖
