Dear Mountaineers,

You are cordially invited by the Junior High School administrative team to join us for our annual incoming 8th Grade and New Student Orientation. The event will take place on August 11th at 6 PM inside the school auditorium.

During this orientation, our school counselors, nurse, and administrative team will discuss essential details regarding daily schedules, academic and behavioral standards, and the general operations of our building. Following the informational session, families are welcome to tour the facility and follow their student's class schedule to ensure a smooth transition for the first day of school.

Additionally, the SWAG shop will be open for attendees interested in purchasing Mountie Wear via cash or credit card.

Our Family and Consumer Science classes led by Mrs. Gullion finished sewing their 72nd quilt. All of them will be donated to the Stroudsburg Community. Great job!

Stroudsburg JHS would like to congratulate our following students for being recognized as Outstanding Students of the 4th Quarter at MCTI.

Stroudsburg defeated PMW 8-2 at home on Thursday.
Hendrix Cioni pitched and earned the win for the Mounties going 5 innings, only giving up 2 runs and striking out 4.
Lucas Staub pitched 2 innings in relief giving up only 1 hit.
The Mountie defense was locked in once again making 21 put-outs in the game with only 1 error.

Jeremiah Ransome, Kody Thomas, Lucas Staub, Danny Morris, Frankie Revitt, Lucas Jones, and Mikey Barbella all collected a hit in the game.
Frankie Revitt stole 5 bases and scored 2 runs.
Wyatt Smith scored 1 run and stole 2 bases.

Stroudsburg MS/JH Baseball finished up the season with an impressive 11-1 record which was the best in their division. 7 of their 11 wins were shutouts, including 2 no hitters.
Great job by the Mounties this year.

The girls soccer team wrapped up their season yesterday with a 4-0 win over Lehman. Scoring goals were McKenna Fuller, Callie McWilliams, Olivia Rodriguez, and Gabby Vassor. McKenna Fuller and Aubrey Schweinfurth had assists. McKenna Fuller and Aubey Schweinfurth also split the game in goal recording the shutout. The girls finished the season with a record of 7 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties (7-1-2). They had a 52-18 goal differential which means a shout out to our usual defenders of Athena Marte, Kadance Kramer, Esther Oliphant, Bella Keiper, and Gabby Vassor is needed. Great season girls!

The Stroudsburg Middle School softball team defeated PMW 14-0. Brielle Bingler had herself a day in the circle and at the plate. The right hander struck out 13. Bingler also went 4-4 with a home run over the centerfield fence. Bridget Hardy, Abigail Feliciano and Sophia Rose-Sullivan had multiple hits. The Mounties’ bats were on fire.
Next up is Nazareth on Friday at home.

Stroudsburg MS/JH Baseball defeated JTL 15-0 at their field on Cinco De Mayo.
Frankie Revitt and Miles McConnell combined to pitch a 1 hit shutout against their cross town rival.
Frankie and Miles struck out 8 batters in the game.
Stroudsburg defense committed no errors with 15 put-outs.

Miles McConnell continued on his heater going 4 for 4 with 1 double, 3 singles, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
Lucas Staub went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and 1 run scored.
Jeremiah Ransome went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Dylan Bashev delivered a big hit in the 1st inning going 1 for 3 with an RBI and 1 run scored.
Jalen Pluviose scored 3 runs, Dom Marinaro and Frankie Revitt both scored a pair of runs in the game.
Frankie Revitt, Jalen Pluviose, and Mikey Barbella each stole 1 base.

Stroudsburg improves to 10-1 on the season with 1 game left vs Pocono Mountain West on Thursday.
