Jeff Ellis' International Karate Centers is again conducting a Food Drive at our Strongsville location.

We would like to give a shout out to all the students and families so far that have been brining in non perishable food for our 40th Annual Holiday Food Drive that benefits the local Strongsville Food Bank

It is a hard experience for someone to Not have enough food to eat any time of the year. Worse yet during the holiday season.
The food bank can get go through a lot of there supply during this time of the year. So, we chose this time of the year beginning in 1984 for that reason.

Feel free to email [email protected] or stop by an early evening Monday -Friday from 5:00-8:30pm or Saturday morning 9:00-11:00am or call us at 440 238-9390 to drop off at least 6 or more cans/boxes of good dated non perishable food
and receive a FREE Two Week Introductory Course Ages 5-years old and Up.

This Food Drive will end December 31st.

A common question we get from parents is "Can My Child's Focus And Concentration Improve In Your Martial Arts Program?"
Often children these days can benefit from greater Focus to get tasks completed successfully at home and school. They are often over stimulated from a variety of sources including electronics.

Our reply is Yes your child will gain a positively noticeable improvement with his/her Focus and Concentration as a result of participating in our program and more like Self-Confidence too!

For nearly 50 years we have developed strategies with our teaching methods in our character building programs that make a positive difference. The result is seen by better grades, following directions at home and school, and staying on task, etc.

I had a neat experience take place recently.
A mother had her three children, a set of boy and girl twins that are 7 and another 11 year old daughter participate in an introductory course to see how they might like practicing martial arts.

In addition to having Fun, mom is looking for Improved Focus, Concentration, and Build Self-Confidence for her children.

She said she knew of us from years back and knows we have a great reputation for having quality martial arts programs that have a positive impact for all ages and especially children.

Well, what she didn't explain initially was that she participated in a "Don't Be A Victim" Sexual Assault Prevention Program for women and teenage girls that I conducted at the Strongsville Recreation Center when she was single in 2011. The program was a community service with about 70 women.

As it turned out I found an article from the Strongsville Post that covered the event and had a picture with this mom demonstrating a skill with me. She was thrilled to see it. So were her kids and husband excited seeing the picture .

The children really enjoyed the introductory course and have become official students, plus mom and dad are now students too!
