Hello family,
Over the past couple days there has been quite a bit of unfortunate attention sent our way regarding a licensed massage therapist and some very serious and sensitive accusations. I felt it appropriate to make a post today to provide as much information as I can while also opening the door for questions.
1. The massage therapist in question WAS NOT an employee of The Healthiest You, nor are any massage therapists. There are several tenants that rent space at our address. Those tenants include THY, Crossfit Strongsville, Healing with PRP, a massage and relaxation LLC, and even a rock band:) The individual in question was an independent contractor of the massage business. His clientele was his own and the victim in this case WAS NOT a patient of THY.
2. We take the safety of our patient base, staff, and anyone in the building very seriously. All licensed providers are reviewed yearly including this individual massage therapist. His license had no prior discipline and his background check (which had been done mere months prior) came back without a record. On a yearly basis any facility offering massage in Strongsville is required to submit all LMTs for review to the Strongsville PD.
3. We are doing everything we can in collaboration with the police department and detective's office to ensure that justice is served. We have provided any information we have that may assist in the investigation and we have opened up our entire staff for questioning. On the date of the incident, we have scoured our memories for anything at all that might be out of the ordinary.
It is very unfortunate that due to the circumstances, our chiropractic facility is being tied in to the incident, but we would ask that each of you judge us and our character based on the care and compassion you have received as patients over the years.
