Wheels down, DC bound!

Palmer Phillis, Joyce Walkling, Alexis Walkling and Mr. Hintzsche are Washington DC bound for the 2023 Premier Chapter Tour! While in DC, we will tour the Milton Hershey Farm, tour Mt. Vernon Mansion, go to the Holocaust Museum, tour parts of the US Capitol, visit Arlington National Cemetery, visit the Smithsonian and so much more! A HUGE thank you to the Illinois Farm Bureau and Streator FFA Friends, Family, and Alumni group for sponsoring this trip!

STREATOR FFA HOME TO 3 STATE WINNERS

In the Illinois FFA there are 54 competitive SAE and SOE areas in which students can compete with their record books. The process starts at the section level where members complete their record books and interview about their project to be named section winner. Following that, they can advance to district and state for the opportunity to be named the State Winner!

Out of the 54 areas, 3 Streator FFA Members placed 1st in their area and 4 Streator FFA members placed 2nd.

Currently, we are in need of the following items for the bulldog food pantry if you know of anyone looking to make a donation:

Please drop anything donated off at the main office of STHS and leave a name and address so a thank you can be sent.

* Deodorant (men's and women's)
* Small bags or individual boxes of cereal
* Granola bars and fruit bars
* Shampoo, conditioner, body wash (not bar soap - we have plenty of that for now)
* Ramen noodles
* Pasta sauces (traditional red sauces and alfredo) and pasta
* Snack crackers of any kind
* Pancake mixes and syrup
* Canned tuna or chicken and Tuna or Hamburger Helper boxes
* Spaghettios, canned ravioli or pasta (cans or individual serving sizes)
* Toothbrushes
* Fruit cups, jello cups, and pudding cups
* Microwave popcorn

The 2023 Think OINK babies headed back to Brockman Farms yesterday! We are once again grateful to everyone that makes the project a success for our students! Thanks to Brockman Farms, Showtime Sires, and Early Bird Feed!

These FFA members enjoyed Presidents Day learning or perfecting their skills on the slopes of Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois! Following many laughs, a few scratches, and head bang or two they have all returned home after a day of Skis to the Slopes! A huge THANK YOU to Chestnut Mountain which continued to host FFA Ski Day when other mountains have discontinued it!

🔵 🟡 Today, we had Kate Colgan, Illinois FFA State Treasurer and Section 7 officers including Jaiden Mahler and our very own Sydney Long and Alexis Walkling join us for a class period to lead a workshop, where student choose their core value, built and tested the strength of their homemade bridges, and made personal goals! Thank you so much Kate, Jaiden, Sydney, and Alexis for facilitating a great workshop!

Streator FFA is Gobble Gifting this Thanksgiving!
We are continuing a project we started last year when we were able to donate 36 meals to people in our community!
The Streator FFA Chapter is looking for sponsors to provide Thanksgiving Meals for less fortunate individuals & families in our community! We are asking for donations in three different ways:
1. Full Meal Sponsorship
-Purchase the full list below for a family of 4, the Streator FFA Chapter will sponsor the turkey or ham!
2. Monetary Meal Sponsorship (we will shop for you)
-For $35 we will do the shopping for you and buy everything! KIDS GROCERY SHOPPING CAN YOU IMAGINE THE EXCITEMENT!!!!
All items can be dropped of at the STHS main office and we will pick them up! You may also get ahold of Mr. Hintzsche at [email protected]!
Want to make a monetary donation, you can also drop this off at the main office, or mail it to STHS addressed to Streator FFA! Make any checks payable to Streator FFA Chapter!
We would like to have everything by the 1st of November!
