Streator Northlawn Jr High

Residents impacted by last week's tornado are encouraged to attend the Multi-Agency Resource Center on Thursday, June 18, from 1-8 p.m. at Northlawn Junior High School (202 E 1st St. Streator, IL).

Representatives from several state agencies and partner organizations will be available to provide assistance, answer questions, and connect residents with available resources. Information will be available regarding recovery programs, loan opportunities, replacement of important documents, insurance-related questions, veteran services, aging services, and other recovery needs.

The American Red Cross will also be on-site to provide assistance and connect residents with additional recovery and support services.

If you or someone you know was affected by the tornado, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet directly with agencies and organizations that are here to help. Thank you to LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency and American Red Cross of Illinois for assisting in the coordination of this event.

SOARING THROUGH SUMMER CHALLENGE!

Families will have the entire week (until the next Wednesday Challenge is posted) to complete the challenge and post a picture in the comments along with the student’s name.

Thanks to a generous donation, we are excited to offer a FREE 7-Day Summer Meal Kits for children ages 18 and under!

📍 Pickup Location: Northlawn Junior High School (Main Entrance)
📅 Date: Friday, June 5 - ONLY
⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Meal kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Pickup Requirements:
✅ An adult must pick up the meal kit.
✅ Please provide the parent/guardian's full name.
✅ Please provide the child's first name and age.

Our Lost & Found is full of jackets, hoodies, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other items waiting to be reunited with their owners.

If your child is missing something, stop by and take a look! We will be cleaning out the Lost & Found on Friday, June 12, so be sure to check for any missing belongings before then.

While our 6th graders were outside enjoying their annual kickball tournament, the 7th grade classes were battling it out in one of their favorite yearly traditions — the dodgeball tournament.

Competition was fierce as classes faced off in fast-paced games filled with strategy, teamwork, and plenty of excitement. The gym was full of energy, laughs, and some very intense moments as students gave it their all to try and claim the championship title.

After a series of competitive matchups, it came down to an all–Mrs. Olson showdown, with her 7th period class taking the victory over her 3rd period class. Congratulations to all of the 7th grade students for making this year’s tournament such a fun and memorable event!
