The junior class came up with a creative way to raise money—they sold tickets for a chance to bedazzle Coach Smith’s bald head! ✨😂

Conall Qualls was the lucky winner and recruited Grace to help with the sparkle-filled makeover. They had a great time, and Coach Smith definitely left with a little extra shine! ✨

A big thank-you to Coach Smith for being such a great sport and letting our students have a little fun! We think he wears the sparkle well! 😎✨

Look at the amazing things happening in Mrs. Johnson's 7th and 8th grade math classes! In 7th grade, students participated in a game of Integer War using playing cards to practice adding and subtracting integers. This activity strengthen their understanding of integer operations while building accuracy. In 8th grade, students worked collaboratively to match exponential expression flash cards. Students applied their knowledge of exponent properties while discussing problem-solving strategies with their peers.

Last week in Dr. B's english class, 9th grade worked on sentence puzzles for compound sentences with semicolons, comma FANBOYS, and semicolon- conjunctive adverbs-comma.

Hillcrest High School students who participate in the Ralph Joseph Youth Leadership Project met today with other participants from each school in Lawrence County at Walnut Ridge High School. Today’s topic was “decision making”. Students used the skills they learned today to select their community service project.

Tomorrow FBLA and FFA are hosting a CTSO block party after school! All students grades 7-12 are invited. We will have music, grilled hot dogs, and games!! We look forward to seeing you there!

Picnic blankets and lawn chairs can be stored in Mrs. Brannon's room during the school day.

9th graders from Hillcrest visited the Be Pro Be Proud truck, as well as a driving simulator (sponsored by the state of Arkansas) and a semi tractor trailer from Bill Davis Trucking today at Cedar Ridge High School. Students were able to practice several hands on skills such as welding, robotics operations, repairing a water line, driving a train, operating a track hoe, high voltage line repair, and semi-truck driving. A huge thanks to the Cedar Ridge School for inviting us and to the team of people who brought out these awesome experiences for the kids!
