The Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford is a 6-week theater and performance program that uniquely combines the study of Shakespeare's text, contemporary ensemble training and the opportunity to rehearse and perform in two Shakespeare productions in repertory. Now entering its fourth season, SA@S provides fourteen students from around the U.S and abroad with a rigorous, collaborative and immersive cons
ervatory-like experience. In addition to daily ensemble workshops and weekly work-in-progress showings, SA@S ensemble members participate in workshops and master classes with internationally recognized leaders in acting, Shakespeare’s text, Droznin, Lucid Body, voice, clown and Shakespeare scholarship. Students entering college, attending college, or recent college graduates are eligible to apply to Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford's 2022 Ensemble. Prior training in theater and/or Shakespeare is not a requirement for admission. Rather, we look for evidence of the applicant's desire to create, a strong work ethic, and readiness to jump in, collaborate, and take risks as part of a sustained ensemble-development process.
