St. James School, Stratford St. James is a Catholic PK-8 school located at 50 Harvey Place in Stratford, CT. Our school is a part of the Diocese of Bridgeport school system.

James School sits adjacent to Academy Hill in the heart of the beautiful historic district of Stratford, Connecticut, convenient to I-95 and Metro North. Our school serves the educational, spiritual, and social needs of nearly 375 boys and girls in grades Pre-K through eight. James offers a competitive high school preparatory curriculum that is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ. We seek to i

nstill in each student a lifelong passion for the Word of the Lord, the sacredness of family and the value of service to others. Our staff recognizes and strives to nurture each child's unique gifts. James offers small classes, two classrooms in each grade level, a Kindergarten Early Intervention Reading Program and learning support services through eighth grade to students who would benefit from the extra help. In addition, we offer an after school program and many engaging clubs, music programs and sports activities.Financial assistance is available to qualifying families. James welcomes students of all races, ethnicities and faiths. We are a family of believers that seek to know and value each other. A BIG thank-you to SJS Mom, Jen Lee, for organizing the Bookmobile to visit camp today so that all of our summer campers could pick out a free book to take home!

The 5th grade class completed the during the last week of school!

The Pringles Physics Challenge is a learn through play activity that has students building a freestanding, interlocking ring of Pringles using absolutely no glue, tape, or adhesives. You carefully overlap the chips in a circle, relying entirely on gravity, weight distribution, and friction to hold the arch together.

Not only did it her students crushed this challenge, but by the looks on their faces, they had the best time doing it💚
