My kinder and 1st grade crew love this game!! Pass the pumpkin all around, Listen to the spooky sound, Oo Oo Oo Oo, Will it land on you? Boo! Students pass a pumpkin around in a circle until the word boo! On boo, that student goes to my instrument basket to select an instrument. They then become part of the “band.” We continue playing until there is one student left who gets to play the tubano. We’ll sing the song a few times with everyone playing their instrument making sure that 1. Music starts from silence 2. We all stop on “boo!” It allows me to see if the student on the tubano is keeping a steady beat as well as how musical my other students are being with their instruments. This song is included in both my 1. Minor Songs Children Love Resource 2. Fall Music Unit Plan Depending on your needs, the first resource is great if you just want song ideas and the second is a whole 12 class Unit Plan! Try out this perfect sensory dough to get your Fall started off right. ✏️ Supplies: - 1/2 can of pure pumpkin - 1 cup corn starch - 1 tbsp pumpkin spice season - Bowl - Plastic baggie for storage(optional) 👉 Steps: 1. Add 1/2 can of pumpkin to your bowl 2. Pour 1 cup of corn starch into the bowl 3. Add 1 tbsp pumpkin spice 4. Mix well 5. Tip! You may need to use your hands to mix it completely 6.
