Junior Miss and Miss Strasburg Guidelines and Considerations 2018

Pageant Date:
Friday, July 20, Strasburg Park.

Info Meeting
Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Strasburg Park

Final rehearsal:
Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Strasburg Park
Practices:
Sundays at 6-7:15 p.m. starting June 10 through the pageant. Practices are
highly recommended to attend, but not mandatory (unless otherwise posted), except for the mandatory dress rehearsal July 19, 6:30 p.m. During practice times we will work on modeling, speeches/introductions, interviewing and other competitive areas.

Annual Miss and Junior Strasburg Pageant seeking contestants

On behalf of the Miss Strasburg Pageant, we would like to extend an invitation to you to be a part of the annual Miss and Junior Strasburg Pageant! This event will be held in conjunction with the annual Strasburg Lions Club Homecoming, July 20, 2018.

The junior miss competition is open to young women who live in Strasburg or Stewardson and have completed the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. Judging criteria will include: a brief interview with the judging panel, personal introduction on stage, modeling a dress of choice, selling raffle tickets, and a response to word as drawn out of a bowl. Each area of scoring is of equal weight.

The Miss Strasburg competition is open to young women who live in Strasburg and have completed 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. Judging criteria will include: selling raffle tickets, speech/introduction, interview, modeling and pop question.

The winner of both pageants will receive a crown, prize pack, and represent the village for one year. For additional information, or to register, please contact Lisa Shelton at 217.690.6606.
