Section 20 Livestock Judging today hosted by Newton FFA at the Jasper County Fairgrounds.

The team placed 7th out of 17 teams in the Section 20 contest. In the Newton FFA Invitational, we finished 18th out of 78 teams.

🌱 Riding Through the Rows of Time: The 1980’s Edition! 🌱
As we celebrate 75 years of FFA at Stew-Stras, we're taking a look back at the 1980’s in our chapter’s history!

From new leadership in the ag department to welcoming the first female members, the Stewardson-Strasburg FFA saw a decade of progress and milestone moments. Members continued to earn State Degrees, compete in events, and build lasting traditions—like the original ag mural painted in 1984. The 1980s were a time of growth, opportunity, and change within our chapter.

Today the Senior Ag Business class had the opportunity to hear from Mike Warner, DSM for Wyffels Hybrids. He shared insights on selling products and services, along with different techniques used throughout the sales process. Over the next couple of days, students will be putting these skills into action as they sell their own products and services to their classmates!

Mike, is a Stew-Stras graduate, brought close to 20 years of agricultural sales experience to the classroom. We appreciate him taking the time out of his day to share his insight a plus treated the class to donuts and Wyffels swag!

Congratulations to Zaida Wascher for competing at State Proficiency Interviews today at Mt. Zion High School in Fruit Production with growing and selling her melons. Zaida came home 2nd in the state!! 🍉

Great day for the Stew-Stras FFA dairy judging team! The team brought home 1st place at the Section 20 contest today.

Last night, 7 Stew-Stras FFA members traveled to Mt. Zion High School to compete in the District IV Proficiency Interviews, and they brought home some great results!

🥈Miles Tabbert – Ag Mechanics Design & Fabrication — 2nd Place
🥈Oliver Wascher – Vegetable Production — 2nd Place
🥈Brooke Schumacher — District IV Star Farmer Runner-Up
