Visit the Akron Zoo on Presidents' Day (Feb. 17) and receive FREE admission!

Spend time with your favorite animals and experience a temporary exhibit, "Celebrating Black History in Perkins Woods." This exhibit shares little-known Black history that took place in the area that surrounds and includes the Akron Zoo. A panel discussion will be hosted on Presidents’ Day for the public to learn more about the shared history. Panels will include community members, local historians and other guests. Looking for another sweet activity for this weekend? ❤️

It's time for Maple Sugaring at the Carlisle Reservation. Walk to the sugar bush then watch sap boil to syrup. The Sugar Shack will be open from 10 am-Noon. Then naturalist hikes will be held every half-hour from Noon-2 pm. These programs are free and no registration is required.
