Our elementary students had an incredible opportunity this week to participate in a hands-on First Aid & CPR class led by parent, Falon Steiner, and her amazing UH team — and we are so grateful for the time, care, and knowledge they shared with our students! ❤️

From learning CPR skills and how to use an AED device to splinting, applying a tourniquet, and responding calmly in emergency scenarios, our students gained meaningful, real-world skills that build both confidence and preparedness.

At AMMS, we value opportunities that empower children with practical life knowledge and foster responsibility, compassion, and confidence in caring for others. We are incredibly thankful to Falon and the UH team for making learning so engaging, hands-on, and memorable.

Our students learned so much — and had a wonderful time doing it! Thank you for investing in our children and community.

Did you know pouring work in Montessori is preparing so much more than steady hands?

Practical Life pouring activities help children build concentration, independence, coordination, fine motor control, and confidence. Through purposeful, hands-on work, children are developing the foundational skills needed for writing, problem-solving, and self-care—all while experiencing the joy of “I can do it myself!”

Sometimes the smallest works hold the biggest lessons.

This week, our Primary classrooms experienced the joy and wonder of releasing their butterflies after carefully observing the full life cycle right inside their classrooms.

From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, our students witnessed transformation, patience, growth, and the beauty of nature firsthand. Moments like these spark curiosity, nurture respect for living things, and create lasting memories for our children.

Watching each butterfly take flight was a beautiful reminder that every child, too, is growing and preparing to spread their wings. 💜
