Rain may have moved the celebration indoors and put the bubbles on hold, but the official Grand Opening of the MaryBeth Cancellieri playground still went off without a hitch today! The best part was when our Hawks wore their "Mrs. C hair" and sang her a special song with a message of “Try Everything.” It was a privilege to witness this special moment, not only as a Hansen Hawk but as a Stoughton resident. Congratulations to Mrs. Cancellieri on her retirement and on the well-deserved honor of having a space where all current and future Hawks will play.

⛳️💚 Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our Topgolf event!

This was one of the most fun and memorable events we've hosted to date, and it wouldn't have been possible without your support, enthusiasm, and participation. Seeing our Hawk families come together for an evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit was truly special.

Events like these help strengthen the connections that make our school community so amazing. Thank you for helping us create lasting memories for our students and families.
As we wrap up another incredible school year, we are grateful for every family, volunteer, teacher, and supporter who helped make our PTO events a success.

The glue that keeps us together, Mrs. Cancellieri! 💚💛

It is always great to see a beloved member of our school community honored for their hard work and commitment to our students, families, and colleagues. The new playground at the Hansen School is nearing completion and the Hansen community gathered signatures to petition the School Committee to name the new playground for their administrative assistant Marybeth Cancellieri, who will be retiring following the completion of this school year after 28 years at the Hansen.

In addition to her 28 years as administrative assistant at the Hansen, Mrs. Cancellieri is a dedicated community member. She is a former Hansen parent, a current Hansen grandparent, and a former president of the Hansen PTO.

Hansen Principal Christine Feeney said it best in her letter to the School Committee: Mrs. Cancellieri’s “love, dedication, warmth, and tireless service to generations of students, families, and staff make her the ideal namesake for our new playground. Naming the playground after Mrs. Cancellieri would be a lasting tribute to her exceptional legacy.”

The School Committee unanimously approved the naming of the new Hansen playground for Mrs. Cancellieri. Stay tuned for more information about a dedication ceremony and celebration.
