It was an incredible school year across our SASD libraries! Check out these amazing highlights from across the district:
๐SHS: Checked out 3,779 print books, grew the collection to over 12,000 items, and wrapped up Book Club with DIY bedazzled books!
๐Sandhill: Crushed it with a massive 26,082 books checked out and gave away 740+ books through Scholastic Book Fair proceeds!
๐Fox Prairie: Welcomed local authors Todd and Ariane Erickson, partnered with the public library, and discovered new genres through musical chairs!
๐Kegonsa: Surpassed 15,201+ checkouts, more than doubled their beginning chapter book circulation, and launched March Mammal Madness!
๐River Bluff: Circulated 8,398 books, added 538 new titles, and sent 60 dedicated Book Club members on a special field trip to see Newsies!
๐Thank you to our incredible library staff and our readers for making this a year of literacy and learning! ๐๐

Before the school year ended, AP Government and AP U.S. History students had an incredible opportunity to connect classroom learning to the real world through a field trip to the federal courthouse, the Veterans Museum, and the State Capitol. Students explored the role of government in action, learned about the experiences and sacrifices of our nation's veterans, and gained firsthand insight into the judicial system.
