Celebrating Star Wars Day @ RB LMC

Ms. Carpenter's students are using our new green screen to record Ancient Civilization newscasts!

Having trouble keeping these books stocked at the book fair, along with Red Queen, which is currently sold out...more copies on their way for tomorrow!

We're getting excited for the book fair! It opens tomorrow and will stay open until 7:00pm next Thursday!

River Bluff's Got Talent is happening tonight at 7:00 and tomorrow morning for the whole school!

Students had their first chance to fly the new drone this week during Makerspace. They loved launching it and there were only a few crash landings!

We used copper tape, led bulbs, and batteries to create light up cards today in our afterschool Makerspace. Great way to experiment with circuits!

Two more great mystery skypes today with students from Algonquin, IL and Jerseyville, IL. Students in Ms. Carpenter's 6th hour class were able to guess their partner schools exact location!

Mrs. Carpenter's third hour class tested their geography and teamwork skills today during their first Mystery Google Hangout. They took turns asking yes/no questions with students in a class in a mystery location. Our partner class turned out to be from Lanesville, IN which is a very small town near Louisville, KY.

Our December Book Club books have been selected. 8th and 6th graders will be reading historical fiction and 7th graders will be reading survival stories. We'll meet December 16 to discuss. All RB students are welcome!

Our 8th graders are studying the changing seasons in Science and had a chance to Skype with Austin M's aunt who is currently living in Dubai. We learned that although it's also technically fall there, it still feels like summer!
