These are the things I learned (in Kindergarten):
1. Share everything.
2. Play fair.
3. Don't hit people.
4. Put things back where you found them.
5. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
6. Don't take things that aren't yours.
7. Say you're SORRY when you HURT somebody.
8. Wash your hands before you eat.
9. Flush.
10. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
11. Live a balanced life - learn some and drink some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work everyday some.
12. Take a nap every afternoon.
13. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
14. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Stryrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
15. Goldfish and hamster and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
16. And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.”

To be compliant with my license, I needed to report our positive tests today to Public Health, by phone and later with a f44151 form. I also needed to contact Laura Kniffin, my licensing specialist and CACFP, 4C Food Program. I had a call back from Public Health spelling out some specifics, regarding safety measures, both recommended and required. They would rather that I stay closed for 10 days, but I told them that if the children are symptom free and have tested negative, that we will return on Monday with masks for children 2+ until next Wed. They returned that response with the requirement that any child who had Covid, who is under 2yrs + and who cannot wear a mask, will be required to Isolate from childcare for a total of ten days. So, Raylan's earliest return will also be, Wed. They are now assigning me a site support team to go over safety measures and have direct contact with our childcare home for 30 days, which will then end, unless we have remission. The guidelines on symptoms, in which children having two or more in combination, will be required to take a Covid test before returning to daycare. Generally speaking, if a child appears ill, they cannot attend daycare without a test. I have a conference call with Public Health's site support team, tom. morning to go over their involvement with our childcare facility for at least the next 30 days. The guidance they sent, I'll post here, but it's nine pages which everyone involved in our childcare home should read. I hope everyone is doing well
and getting better. (...as an aside, they never once asked me that question as we've gone through all of this protocol today) Any questions can be answered through text to me and relayed directly to our PH contact for answers.
