We are excited to share that this year’s Thanksgiving football game between Stoughton High and Canton High will be played at Fenway Park in Boston! The historic venue will play host to the 100th Thanksgiving game between the two Hockomock League rivals as part of High School Football at Fenway Park presented by Cross Insurance. The game will take place on Tuesday, November 24 at 8pm.

The Stoughton High cheerleading team and SHS Marching Black Knights have also been invited to join the football team at Fenway Park, making for a full Stoughton takeover of America’s Most Beloved Ballpark!

Please plan your own transportation to and from Fenway. Due to bus parking limitations at Fenway, SPS is not able to provide a fan bus at this time, so we encourage fans to carpool or take public transportation.

While the Thanksgiving game will be played on Tuesday, Stoughton High will maintain its traditional Thanksgiving week activities. The in-school Pep Rally will take place on Wednesday, November 25, followed by the annual Powderpuff football game between Stoughton and Canton seniors Wednesday afternoon after dismissal. This year’s Powderpuff game will take place at SHS on the turf field.

This is an amazing opportunity for the SHS football team, cheerleaders, marching band, and school community and we look forward to cheering on the Black Knights at Fenway and then continuing the Thanksgiving festivities with Pep Rally and Powderpuff the following day.

This school year Stoughton High is competing in the Kelley-Rex, the large schools division of the Hockomock League. The Kelley-Rex has the six schools with the largest student enrollments in the league. The Davenport, the division Stoughton had been in since the league split into two divisions, has the six schools with the smallest enrollments.

With the league's latest review of enrollment numbers, Stoughton moved up to the Kelley-Rex and King Philip moved to the Davenport. Stoughton joins Taunton, Attleboro, Franklin, Milford, and Sharon in the Kelley-Rex.

Stoughton will be in the Kelley-Rex for the 26-27 and 27-28 school years before enrollment numbers are reviewed again.

Important Update: Due to a power outage at the O'Donnell Middle School, the OMS Sports Info Night scheduled for TONIGHT, Wednesday, August 26 has been RELOCATED to Stoughton High in room A216 on the second floor of the building. The event will still start at 6pm. Please use the main entrance at SHS across from the turf field and tennis courts (marching band is using the back parking lot).

We are holding an orientation night for incoming 9th graders and first-time high school athletes on Monday, August 17 at 6pm at SHS. This night will cover all seasons - fall, winter, and spring. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their student. Hope to see you there!
