In an impromptu session today at in Washington, D.C., UConn Journalism student Mikayla Bunnell and I were asked by Richard Watts of the Center for Community News to talk about the CT Student Journalism Collaborative. We publish strong student work from our classes at CTCommunityNews.substack.com and many of the stories are republished by our media partners, including CT Public, WSHU and the Hartford Courant. Mikayla spoke with pride about her story on social media and political division becoming her first professional byline.

Our chapter is a finalist for The Outstanding Regional Campus Chapter! If it weren't for our incredible members, we would not be nominated for such a prestigious award. Shout out to all of those who attend our events every semester and contribute to our journalism community!!

Thank you to all those who attended our Radio Night event last night! We enjoyed hearing from both student radio representatives and public radio professionals on their experiences working in the industry. We appreciate our panelists taking time to speak about the changes they've seen in the radio space and how to navigate radio through the current landscape.
