Earlier this month, the Math Teachers' Circle 4 Social Justice (MTC4SJ) hosted an event called Mural Math, which brought together math teachers from across the state to create a mural emphasizing math skills and social justice. 🎨👩🏫
MTC4SJ was co-founded by Neag School faculty member Megan Staples and UConn alum Kyle Evans and is affiliated with the National Math Circle Network through the American Institute of Mathematics. The purpose of MTC4SJ is to build capacity and community around teaching mathematics to analyze and promote discourse around issues of social injustice. Artist and math teacher Sacha Kelly led the mural event.
