Some photos from yesterday’s Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) and Graduate Student Showcase!

Starting with our overall winner, Wesley Leong from the Department of Psychological Sciences. His presentation was titled “A Neural Signal for Representing and Remembering Objects across Vision and Language.”

We had 29 presenters, and each brought something unique to the event. We truly appreciate the creativity, time, and hard work our graduate students put into their research and presentations. Thank you all for sharing your work with us!

Wesley may go on to represent UConn at regional, national, and international 3MT competitions.

More photos coming soon!!!

Join The Graduate School and the NECHE accreditation team this Tuesday, October 6th for a free lunch and share about your time at UConn!

UConn is preparing for its upcoming accreditation site visit by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) taking place this week. Accreditation is a comprehensive peer-review process that examines how well a university fulfills its mission and meets established standards of educational quality and institutional effectiveness. This process highlights the high quality of a UConn education for students, families, and the public while also helping to identify priorities for continued improvement.

Your perspectives on graduate education, mentorship, research opportunities, professional development, and student support are vital to this review. Your participation will help the visiting team understand the graduate student experience and opportunities to strengthen it.

Can’t make it, but still want to share your thoughts? Email the chair of the visiting team, Dr. Daniel Greenstein: [email protected]
