Happy Wednesday! *HUGE UPDATE*
Thank you to everyone who came out to the gen bed meeting tonight. For those of you who don't know, UConn HSA has decided to become unaffiliated with and therefore will no longer be working with Heart to Soul in Action. This is a huge step for us and means that now your ideas will be heard.
Welcome to UConn R(h)ISE - Resolving Health Inequities through Service and Education! Our organization's main goal is to realize that students CAN make a difference in promoting healthcare and education in vulnerable communities, both domestic and global.
If you have a cause that means a lot to you, UConn R(h)ISE will help you make a real difference. We are excited about your potential, ideas, and voices. Come to gen bod/look out for more updates to get involved!
We look forward to working with you all!

In Indian culture, red bindis are a symbol of a married woman. In India, 47% of girls are married before the age of 18. These are not women - they are children whose education is halted, reproductive health is threatened, and experiences of IPV and abuse rise significantly.
UConn RhISE uses white bindis as a symbol of purity and innocence in the face of this injustice. We fight for the rights of girls who cannot raise their voices.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support ! Join UConn HSA to become more involved!
