At last night's May board meeting, longtime volunteer and master gardener, Jennifer Klinger, presented us with copies of a 4-color, perfect-bound, garden book that she and fellow master gardener, Paula Kille, produced. Here, Jennifer (center) and Paula (right) are pictured with Tony Braz, Simsbury Historical Society president.

Jennifer has lovingly cared for and improved our gardens for the past 10 years, working alongside many volunteers from local garden clubs and the community. Paula, a talented artist and graphic designer, designed and illustrated this beautiful and helpful book, "The Gardens at Simsbury Historical Society."

Jennifer and Paula also created and donated pamphlets for self-guided garden tours. Thank you, Jennifer and Paula, for these lovely and useful gifts! Jennifer Klinger Simsbury Garden Club Gardeners of Simsbury Simsbury Pollinator Pathway UConn Extension Master Gardener Program

Our UConn Extension Master Gardener Program is exited to welcome Lowe's Home Improvement to the Fairfield County Extension Center Demonstration Garden. Lowes and their employees have graciously donated supplies and their time to help restore the infrastructure of the Fairfield County Demo Garden. Working with Master Gardeners, the volunteers are making improvements. The garden, established in 2013, donates hundreds of pounds of produce annually to area food banks.
