The UConn Skydiving Club is a group of UConn students who share a common enthusiasm for parachute jumping. We are a competitive team as a registered UConn Club Sport, but also promote a club atmosphere by jumping together nearly every weekend, and constantly encouraging and supporting new members. Although not strictly necessary, you are strongly recommended to first make a tandem skydive. You can

Happy Presidents’ Day to our favorite Canadian! Or wait…American? Costa Rican? The mystery continues. Wherever she’s from, we’re just glad she landed here and somehow keeps this operation running.

Meet the E-Board!

Known for his flowing Prince Charming hair, crazy drip, questionable decision-making, and dedication to his side quests, is none other than our Vice President, Dylan Brockel. We all know his real favorite things to do in the sport are racing everyone to the ground and ordering team pizzas. Whether he’s welding, forging, snowboarding, or dreaming of far, far away and enchanting lands to jump at, Dylan always keeps us entertained.

Keep dreaming small, Dylan! We hope one day you’ll make it those long 158 miles.

Meet the EBoard!

Treasurer, chronic liar, cornfield connoisseur, and freefly “expert” Aidan is a man of many hats. From indoor landings to 12,000 foot surprise hop n’ pops, and wildly made-up stories, he always keeps us guessing what’s next. But between helping the team run smoothly and being our personal IT guy, he’s a team legend we’ll be lost without.

Meet the E-Board!

From Cleveland, Ohio, our Secretary Allison Alarafi is always on the move, whether it’s running ultras, hitting the slopes, working summers on a Colorado ranch, or missing USPA Collegiates to go penguin watching in Antarctica (true story!). Always eager to try it all, she keeps things interesting both on the ground and in the air. Especially in the air. It’s safe to say there’s never a dull moment when Allison’s around, and we love her for it.

We are thrilled to welcome back Brian Smith as our coach!

After taking a decade off to raise his family, Brian is back to help the next generation of UConn skydivers grow and succeed. Brian started skydiving in 1992 at the age of 16 and now has over 10,000 jumps, medals across multiple disciplines, experience as a former member of the U.S. Army Parachute Team and Centerline Skydiving Team, and holds state and world records. We’re excited to have his knowledge and experience back with the team.

Looking forward to a great season ahead!
