It’s a wrap! What a privilege it’s been to spend the last month in the company of these folks for our 2026 Summer Institute. We’ve learned, we’ve laughed, and we’ve been inspired. Thanks, all, for your company and your contributions—have a wonderful rest of the summer and a great start to the 2026 school year!

Some of our Summer Institute participants had the opportunity to visit the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative summer apprenticeship program for high school students at the Mark Twain House yesterday. Thank you so much to Vicky Nordlund and The Mark Twain House & Museum for hosting us and allowing us to work with your students. We had a fantastic time, and we can't wait to come back next week!

We’ve had a wonderful first week at our 2026 Summer Institute, where we welcomed Amy Nocton, Mandy Peterson, Melanie Hepburn, and Susan Laurencot for Narrative 4, journal-making, presentation demos, affinity mapping, fiction writing, workshop, and more. Looking forward to Week 2!

We had another fantastic weekend at Trinity Retreat Center for our Spring 2026 Teacher-Writer Retreat, which welcomed ten teachers for writing, workshop, conversation, and repose. It's always such a joy and an inspiration to come together in this beautiful place (with amazing food, gardens, and rescue donkeys!!). Thank you so much to Trinity Retreat Center for having us! We can't wait to come back in the fall!
