Hello,

The HELLO Lab is currently running a project called Parent Infant Eye-tracking (PIE) to understand how parentโ€“child interactions support early word learning, and is looking for families to participate. If you have a child between 1 and 3 years old, with no hearing impairment and no history of developmental disability, then you may be eligible.

Participation is completely voluntary. As a participating family, you will receive an assessment of your childโ€™s auditory comprehension and expressive communication skills as well as your childโ€™s adaptive behaviors at home. We also offer $30/hour as compensation for your and your childโ€™s time.

If you would like to learn more, or have any questions, you can email [email protected] or call โ€ช(860) 341-2667 or complete this brief eligibility survey: https://uconn.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4Vm1MQNGLYzDhAO.

Thank you for supporting early childhood research!

From the desk of Baby Scientist:

If you follow our video series 'HELLO Lab Presents', you probably noticed we have not yet uploaded a new episode for May. We are currently on a brief hiatus as we pursue additional funding, write & develop new full-length episodes, and build novel collaboration opportunities with key community partners, including other language development labs across the world. This stuff can take time, but we are working hard to bring you all new content as soon as possible. ๐Ÿค“

In the meantime, thank you SO much for your ongoing support and enthusiasm for this project. Stay tuned as we'll continue to post important resources, community events, short-term content and more on our social channels. Stay curious!
