Mansfield Public Schools, Connecticut is truly a special place. Just another example of an incredible Mansfield teacher going above and beyond for their school community. Life in food services hasn't been easy with delivery delays and product shortages but this amazing community continues to be patient, understanding, and show they have our back! A huge THANK YOU to the Life & Consumer Science students and Mrs.Dickinson who made us about 50+ half sheet pans of pizza dough (about 300 servings!) for us to serve at lunch today at MMS. Our awesome kitchen team dressed them up to perfection. π Hope it tasted as good as it looks! Happy Friday and Happy Halloween! π
The November menus are a bit delayed as we are taking the opportunity of a new month/menu to get ahead of the increased delivery delays. Hopefully less last minute menu changes are on the horizon! They will be posted for Monday. 11/1 Hot Lunch - MMS hamburger/cheeseburger, Vinton & Southeast - Mozzarella Sticks, Goodwin - Cheese Lasagna

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! Menus will be out and updated on our website for tomorrow, and posted here as well. Please read the following important message before loading up funds on your student(s) account! Spread the word!
Meals are FREE for all students this school year regardless of eligibility. Elementary students only need money on their account if they would like to purchase "milk only," middle and high school students only need money on their account to make a la carte purchases. Free and reduced price meal applications are not required, but a family is welcomed to apply, especially if they have received benefits in the past, or think they may qualify.

Hello all! The "keeping up with posting" struggle has definitely been real but I am determined to keep it coming! This is an appreciation post celebrating the feast meal served this week K-12 in addition to the recipe for and some pictures of the local kale zucchini bread feast dessert making process, (kind of outdated) menus for reference, and some images from Goodwin Elementary School's 10/29 festive looking lunch! π
I want to thank every one who participated in, helped accommodate for, volunteered their time to help food services staff, or otherwise contributed to a successful feast meal for Mansfield Public Schools and EO Smith High School. The logistics of providing a feast meal this year were challenging at times, including the cancellation of our normally allocated federal turkey roasts due to COVID, and providing the meals twice to include cohorts A and B at both MMS and EOS. I really appreciate all that the food services staff does, and I also appreciate the schools, students, and staff members for their thanks to food service staff. I wasn't able to enjoy the meal in school this year but the MMS kitchen staff made sure I did not go without! Please stay safe! Stay tuned for December menus out next week. Have a great weekend π½
