Today, on MartinLutherKingHoliday.com we talk with the Connecticut Autism and Language Lab-CALL group about their work in ensuring that families from traditionally underrepresented groups are included in research, receive better services, and that there is equity in access to care. Six major domains were identified in their review: the patient-provider relationship, cultural or protective factors, family impact of a diagnosis, stigma, the causes and course of autism, and awareness of the realities of autism.
