Trumbull Regional FFA also held the Chapter Degree Ceremony on Wednesday, May 14. To be eligible to receive the Chapter FFA Degree, members met qualifications including involvement in chapter activities/ functions, continued growth and improvement in their Supervised Agricultural Experience, and leading a discussion/ lesson. This year, 42 sophomore FFA members received the degree. Congratulations to these students!

On Wednesday, May 14, Trumbull Regional FFA held the Greenhand Degree Ceremony. To be eligible to receive the Greenhand FFA Degree, members must meet qualifications including learning the FFA Creed, demonstrating knowledge of the history of the organization, and having a satisfactory plan for a supervised agricultural experience. This year, 55 freshmen FFA members received the degree. Congratulations to these students!

More exciting new from Day 2 of the 2025 CT FFA State Convention!
Five of our students competed in Leadership Development Events.
- Ryan M. and Sara R. competed in Prepared Public Speaking; Sara came in FIRST place and will be representing CT at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall!
- Dhuvarika P. and Delia F. completed in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.
- Johnathon L. competed in Creed Speaking, placing THIRD!
Additionally, five students received their Charter Oak (State) FFA Degree. These students were Allie B., Ian D., Delia F., Emily M., and Dhuvarika P.

Big News from Day 1 of the 2025 CT FFA State Convention!
Environmental and Natural Resources CDE won 1st Place Team!
The team consisted of Becky D., Rico P., Landon P., & Maddie T.
- Landon P. came in 2nd Place Individual
- Maddie T. came in 3rd Place Individual
Veterinarian Science CDE won 1st Place Team!
The team consisted of Ruby K., Emily M., Arden M., & Rachel D.
- Rachel D. came in 1st Place Individual
- Arden M. came in 2nd Place Individual
- Emily M. came in 3rd Place Individual
Food Science and Technology Team won 3rd Place Team!
The team consisted of Autumn S., Mason M., Ethan L., & Cali L.

The 2025 Trumbull Regional FFA Chapter Creed Contest was held yesterday during the freshman block. We are proud of all the freshmen who stood infront of their peers to recite the FFA Creed and answer the judges’ questions. The following freshmen will be moving onto the District competition in April.

On Thursday, FFA members worked together to made braided dog toys to be donated to local animal shelters. Using upcycled t-shirts, we made over 350 dog toys! It is a great way to reuse old textiles and support local animals in need of some joy during this holiday season.

Join us in congratulating the newly elected Class of 2028 Freshmen Representatives Autumn Settembre and Johnathon Lin!
Yesterday the freshman class heard speeches from their peers centered on why they believe they should be elected as freshmen representatives, after wish they submitted their ballots. These newly elected members of the Trumbull Regional FFA Officer Team will lead communication between the freshman class and officer team, along with assisting the officer team with their many duties.
We are excited to see how Autumn, Johnathon, and all of our students grow as leaders and people.

The students at Trumbull Ag have been busy as elves preparing for the Holiday Plant Sale! A truly hands-on learning experience; all of the wreaths are hand made by our students. In addition to a wide selection of wreathes, we have door swags, holiday centerpieces, and poinsettias; all grown in our greenhouses by the Plant Science students! The Holiday Plant Sale going on now, from 10am- 3pm through Sunday!

For our October FFA meeting, students were tasked with creating scarecrows! Armed with a frame, bale of hay, an array of clothes, and a pumpkin, FFA members worked together to construct, carve, and dress their festive creations. Congratulations to the winning team!

TRUMBULL REGIONAL BRINGS HOME GOLD IN INDY!
Congratulations to the 2024 Trumbull Regional FFA Food Science Career Development Event team for placing 7TH IN THE NATION at the National FFA Convention! In addition, three of the members placed gold individually and one placed silver! Coached by Mrs. B, the team consisted of Shannon Van Hise ‘25, Delia Fruin ‘26, Dhuvarika Paramasivam ‘26, and Emily Miskowiak ‘26.
We are so proud of this team and all of the hard work they have put in!
