As summer comes to an end, it is a great time to reach out to your child’s primary care provider to schedule yearly well-child exams, required screenings/health maintenance, sports physicals, and obtain updated yearly health safety plans.
Friendly Reminders
🟢 Dietary restrictions due to allergies or other health conditions require signed documentation from a licensed healthcare professional.
🟢 Students with diabetes, asthma, allergies, or seizures should have an updated safety plan that reflects their current plan of care and dated within the last 12 months.
Medications
🟢 Students are not permitted to bring medication to school. All medication must be dropped off by a guardian with the appropriate signed paperwork. Medication brought by students will be confiscated, and must be picked up by an adult.
🟢 Student self-carry medication requires a signed medical provider order.
*Please understand this helps to ensure the safety of all students*
Communication regarding your student's health is essential for their safety at school. We understand that you may list health concerns on your child's registration, however, due to the large number of students, it is always best to make contact with the school nurse in person or by phone.
The nurse will be available starting the week of August 17th. Please reach out then to schedule a time to drop off medications, health documents, and safety plans.
We hope that completing this before school starts helps to ensure a smooth start to the new year.
