Last night, our 1st and 2nd graders picked exciting destinations for our evening hike—Rock Circle and Big Rock! Afterward, we headed into the barn for some creative fun, making bubble art with our acorn ink and adding liquid watercolors. The results were amazing, and the room was filled with laughter! ☺️

Today in our Sticks, Stones, and Stories class, we painted with acorn ink by the beautiful Cartas Al Cielo sculpture. The kids’ creativity amazes me every week! This lovely November weather has made our outdoor time extra special.

🌱 Seedlings Families,

On Tuesday, our hike took us through sunset, dusk, and into darkness - a perfect time to search for stars and planets! We even spotted Saturn! Then, we headed inside for week two of making acorn ink, with lots of smashing and bashing. These kids are amazing and never cease to impress with their creativity!

Yesterday was such a lovely fall day with my Sticks, Stones, & Stories families! We had fun watching our colorful scarves blowing in the wind and made beautiful fall trees using the acorns we collected last week! ❣️

Yesterday, we kicked off our Fall session of Sticks, Stones, & Stories! Suzy the squirrel joined the SSS crew for a fun adventure collecting acorns and climbing rocks!

On Wednesday, our 5th and 6th graders enjoyed a peaceful evening walk through Birdsfoot Farm as the sun set. What an amazing group of explorers! It was a joy to guide them 🌼

Yesterday, our little backpackers visited Birdsfoot Farm! It was a sunny, beautiful day. As we strolled around, we sang "Old MacDonald" to the animals, and even the turkeys joined in!

On Wednesday, our 5th and 6th graders learned some knife safety tips, they spent over 45 minutes sitting and carving. They were completely mesmerized while carving. For extra fun, we did a blindfold trust hike on the way there and back! What an awesome group of kids!
