The CEWIT Team was proud to host our 3rd Annual High School Hackathon, welcoming nearly 130 students from 15 Long Island school districts.
Co-hosted with the Office for Research and Innovation at Stony Brook University and sponsored by Verizon, this year's theme asked students to tackle a critical challenge: how to keep systems running when the world goes offline. Teams collaborated to design and pitch real-world solutions, from emergency response tools to offline communication systems, using AI-powered technologies like NVIDIA Jetson developer kits.
