Stoneham Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Community Addressing substance use and addictions and their root causes through education, advocacy and support GOALS:
1.

Mission Statement - The Stoneham Substance Abuse Coalition has formed in an effort to address the epidemic of drug and alcohol abuse in our community. Substance abuse has a negative impact on children, families and our town. The coalition's main purposes are to promote drug and alcohol awareness and drug and alcohol abuse prevention. To ensure ease of access to resources available to individuals and families struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.
2.To identify resources and implement programs within the town to help reduce and prevent the growing issue of drug and alcohol abuse.
3. To identify policies at both the state and national level that we can support to help communities deal with the epidemic of substance abuse.

Our members and supporters had a wonderful time at the 8th Annual Bill Chetwynd Memorial Gala benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Metro North, during which Coalition member Jan Houghton was recognized for her many years of selfless service to the club and the community.
