Our experienced instructors provide personalized, private

lessons to help you achieve your musical goals. We have implemented the Family Safety Plan in our school! This includes glass windows on lesson rooms to foster transparency between teachers and parents, requiring extensive background checks of all of our teachers and staff, security cameras in all rooms, and an open-door policy for parents, they’re always invited to sit in on their child’s lesson.

We are thrilled to share that the Soundscapes School of Music Foundation has received a One by One Grant from 4imprint! 🎶❤️
The One by One program provides grants to nonprofit organizations that are making a positive impact in their communities through meaningful programs, services, and outreach. This support helps organizations like ours continue creating opportunities that make a difference.

For the Soundscapes School of Music Foundation, this grant is more than funding—it’s an investment in our mission to make music accessible, build confidence, strengthen communities, and create meaningful musical experiences for youth, families, and people of all ages.

Ms. Melanie is a singer, actor, pianist, and educator with more than 12 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from Mars Hill University, where she graduated summa cm laude.

Her vocal training includes Estill Voice Training (EVT), italian technique, with the majority of her training being in classical and contemporary musical theatre. Her training contributes to giving her students a healthy, versatile foundation for singing across multiple styles. She teaches students of all ages and experience levels, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual goals. She is comfortable across multiple genre’s including classical, contemporary, musical theatre, pop, rock, and opera.

Her performance credits include Urinetown at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, SOHO Theatre in London, Joe’s Pub in New York City, and The Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre. Most recently she has directed and music directed Next to Normal at FAME Performing Arts in Charleston, SC. She has also performed alongside Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings) and Broadway and West End performer Alexandra Silber (Fiddler on the Roof).
