While in the nation’s capital, The Stephenson Band attended a wonderful concert performed by the Capital Wind Symphony under the direction of newly appointed Music and Artistic director, Dr. William L. Lake Jr. We are very appreciative for the hospitality we were greeted with from the time we pulled up to the lovely Capital One Concert Hall. Thank You to Dr. William Lake and the Capital Wind Symphony, for tickets and great seats for a masterfully performed concert, “Metamorphasis”.

The and Stephenson High School, send a huge Thank You, to Congressman Hank Johnson and his Congressional office staff for making special efforts to visit with our students while in D.C. We were also gifted special access to see the floor of the U. S Congress, House of Representatives, while in action. This was a lived experience that will be with our students forever. Thank You to Kandice Williams, Sarah Penkava, and the office staff for guiding us through all of the channels necessary to make this a wonderful experience!
