This tutoring service provides students in need of reading remediation with a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor.
We also have a specialized math program "The Art of Math" and lessons for those interested in learning a foreign language. Orton-Gillingham approach to reading is a multi-sensory technique to teach concepts of the English Language from basic phonics to more advanced concepts such as Greek and Latin roots. Receiving this additional individualized instruction, allows for students to receive instruction at their instructional level and in their most dominant learning style.

At TREAD, we focus on learning in and on purpose. Finding purpose can be motivating and encouraging to students to develop skills and stay committed to a purposeful education, life goals, and career goals. Today our students were able to work with a success coach to identify graduation options & requirements, post secondary planning, and alternative pathways to careers. What our scholars have to offer in the next phase of their life will definitely impact the world all for the better.

Spent the last 2 days in Boston learning and collaborating with change-makers. We are part of a movement that is creating competency based classrooms with autonomy, mastery, and purpose. This is a repost from Thank you for putting together this graphic. At TREAD, we are not against public school, we just know it doesn’t work for all students. This is especially true for our African American students. School choice is a must!! Educational reform is a must!! Meeting students where they are academically, mentally, and socially is a MUST! Student success is a MUST! Students can’t succeed if they can’t read. Children will become what they believe so we can’t allow them to believe that these statistics are a reflection of their abilities; that would be a lie! These statistics are a reflection of a broken educational system. Tailor the learning to their needs and you will see a change. TREAD is meeting the needs of students!….Ask me how…..
