Hello, I no longer teach piano. I keep this page for memories from teaching & just incase I begin teaching again in future. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Lessons are always one-on-one for both beginners and semi-advanced piano players. Private lessons provide 100% attention to the student during his or hers lesson time. Lessons are given at my home in the Ewa Beach. I accept students starting from ages 3 years old and up (child must be able to count from 1-5 and recognize their alphabets from A-G). For students starting at age 3-6 we use Music for

Hello everyone, I have bittersweet news. It is that time... After 7 years I am officially closing lessons indefinitely as I enter my new career as an MRI Technologist. I will miss teaching, I do believe that I will eventually do it again in the future, I just need to focus on this new adventure/chapter of my life. I will keep this page up so we can have the pictures and videos to view whenever and to still get posts from previous families. Please feel free to always post a video or picture of your kid playing the piano, update me on if you find a new teacher, or just to say Hi! I will respond when I get the time.

A Message to my students and their parents:
Never stop playing, keep learning! Music is a lifetime gift. You can use it in the future such as college, I did while in Leeward Community College! It's was an easy A for prerequsites so you can focus your studying on the harder classes. Always remember to READ YOUR NOTES, do NOT guess, guessing is not going to work and will just slow you down, you CAN read them I taught you all from the very first class LOL. Also always count your rhythm 1+2+3+4+ etc. If a song is too difficult to learn, separate your hands, you do not need to play both hands right away this will just frustrate you when you cant play correctly. Learn Treble clef first for a day or so then learn bass clef and only AFTER doing that can you put both hands together. If you keep messing up a measure REPEAT it 3 times straight PERFECTLY before moving on. These are all things I emphasize with everyone and 100% stand by. Please please keep these habits, most likely the new instructor wont have this system but teach it to them and be firm that you will stick to this way of learning. Also do not let the new teacher write down the alphabets for each note (a few here and there is okay), that will cause the student to depend on reading the answer instead of them reading the notes on their own. I promise you will advance faster when following these steps. If you have any questions or concerns about the new teacher please feel free to ask me if something is odd or not being taught right, or for my suggestions.

I Love you all, each student will always and forever has a special place in my heart. Thank you for all the memories, the privilege, and the trust of teaching your children piano. You can always message me here or text/call my direct cell number.

Thank you.

P.S.
I will be making a video on how to read music notes soon and post it to be reviewed if needed and for families that I was unable to take in due to closing down. Maybe even some beginner videos/ tips on what symbols means etc.

The Entertainer- played by Jaelyn. We progressed pretty well 🙂 a few missed notes but all in all I think she did pretty good!

This is Ricci (6) playing Hush little baby. As you can see the sheet music is CLEAN and free of alphabets saying what the note is. He’s able to read it all on his own 🙂 something I really am proud to say that I teach ALL my students to do from the very beginning. Of course parents get credit for making sure the students practices, practice is the only way to get good and keep progressing, this didn’t just happen overnight lol.
Great job Ricci!

Hi families! I saw this piano on sale today at Costco! I was at the E Stockton Blvd Costco in SACRAMENTO. It’s not too big and the bench has storage inside. Good for space saving! Has 88 kegs, weighted, and a sustain pedal. I would say it’s a great deal! Just thought to share for anyone who’s looking to get a full piano/keyboard regardless if you are my student or not 😊

Just wanted to share this cute little video that a parent shared with me of 2 of my students (siblings) who are playing a duet from book 2A Piano Adventures Performance book. Very proud of them, they are progressing very well! Judi is 5 and Will is 7 and are both on level 2B! 2B is usually around 12+ year old students so they are definitely progressing very fast, they of course practice daily.
Good job you 2!

Hello piano student families, I just want to say thank you for working with my crazy schedule and needing to cancel lessons or reschedule so often these past 2-3 weeks. As time gets close to graduation (September 25, 2020) I am in a rush to finish competencies on certain mandatory scans by then in order to graduate on time. After finals everything will be back to normal (until it's my board exam time) and we can schedule make up lessons. Again, thank you and I really appreciate everyone working with me on the schedule changes.
Thank you!

Hello everyone! This is Ethan (6 years old) who started piano July 2019 so almost one year! He is on level 4 of Music for Little Mozarts. He’s reading and playing both Treble & Bass clef notes already 😌. Much credit goes to his parents for making sure he practiced often, and were involved in his practice when needed, if not he would not be at this level in this time period. Good job Ethan!

Hello everyone! Just a little humor in this uncertain time. It’s rhythm education with what’s going on! I tried it and it’s pretty accurate and funny lol. Hope you enjoy!

Hello everyone, I just want to share that piano lessons are still being held. However I'd like to assure you that I am taking strict sanitation actions and precautions. I sanitize my hands before and after each lesson and do NOT go to any lessons if a family member in the house is sick. I am also not going to stores if not needed. Also due to my husbands line work he luckily is not exposed to other people at all, it is just me, him, and our dog so my household has a low chance of getting ill/exposure.

IMPORTANT: If you believe you or your family member are or were possibly exposed to COVID-19 or simply have a cough or fever please let me know and we will reschedule the class for a later time once you're better, I will also do the same.

I know schools are closed down right now, but I believe that as long as we all practice precautions such as not being around sick people, not going out for unnecessary reasons, and continuously washing hands that continuing piano lessons are a way to relieve the kids of boredom of being at home seeing only family members all day long for the next 3 weeks.

Thank you.
