The third-grade class said so long to their baby salmon, which they had been caring for in the classroom, as the fish were released into the Mokelumne River near the Mokelumne River Hatchery last week. During the release, the students took a tour and gained insight into the salmon's lifecycle, including their journey from the river to the ocean and eventual return to the same spawning grounds. Thank you to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for incorporating our class into their salmon conservation program.

This past weekend, a team of our jr. high students with Coach Mrs. Gherardi participated in the Academic Junior High Decathlon at Jesuit High School in Sacramento. Our students studied hard for months on the topics of logic, math, literature, English, science, social studies, religion, and fine arts and competed against other schools in our league both as a team and individually. 8th grader Tiffany Cano placed 1st in religion and 7th grader Mikaela Kabalin placed 2nd in social studies. We are so proud of all our students for their hard work! Way to go, Saints!!

Third grade was happy to get back into the parish garden on such a beautiful day. They were busy pulling weeds and getting planter boxes ready for spring planting and a fun project with their 7th grade buddies.
