Lunch on the lawn is this week for middle and high school. All LHA parents are invited!

At LHA, we have amazing programs to offer after school to our scholars.
Programs include:
Driver’s Ed
Credit Recover
Health Careers and College Exploration
Paper Pushers
CORE Club (Community service)
Drumline
and more to come!

On September 24th , directly after school, staff, students, and families are invited to come receive information about the programs we offer. We also have food trucks, game trucks, and some lawn games that will be here. And yes... it is all FREE including the food! Make sure to pre register to receive your food voucher

Ruby Bridges, at 6 years old, walked into her local neighborhood school. She took a courageous step in holding the state of Louisiana to the law passed by the United States Supreme Court 5 years earlier to desegregate schools. Not one state in the south complied with the court’s orders. In this environment, Ruby entered the doors of William Franz Elementary school and was escorted by federal marshals due to continued threats to her livelihood.

Today, under the leadership of our LHA BSU, we walked in remembrance of Ruby and of the continued fight for freedom and justice.
