It is that time for our PLANT SALE FUNDRAISER to begin... According to a reliable source we should not have any late frost. This means you can start planning your garden. I would suggest you start with strawberries. We are selling six packs of Seascape Strawberries for only $2.00. These have been growing in our greenhouse all winter and are ready to be put into the ground. Some people like to get started on summer vegetables early. If you are that person we have a variety of tomato, pepper, cucumber, and squash plant for $1.00 each. Please support our garden projects.
Happy Gardening!!!!

It feels like spring but don't be fooled it is still winter. If you do have that "I need to plant something bug" this is what you can do PLANT STRAWBERRIES. March is a perfect time to plan your strawberry garden. Our students planted Seascapes this year in six packs for $2.00 and they are ready. Hold off planting the rest of your summer garden for a few more weeks. Just in case of a late frost. This year our students planted a variety of tomatoe and pepper plants and they are growing nicely in the greenhouse. We are planning to have a large selection of vegetable plants at our annual plant sale. Thanks for all the support.
Happy Gardening!

Summer is a busy time in the garden. Try to work outside in the early morning hours before it gets hot. Check your young plants and plants in containers for moisture. They will need at least 8 inches. If your plants look stressed in the afternoon heat they might need watering. Cover your drip lines with a small amount of mulch such as wood chips to help keep the moisture where it is needed. The school garden is growing and looking great. The bees are in abundance and doing their job well. A new crop of strawberries should be ready to pick soon. A BIG thank you to all of the students, parents, and community members who supported the garden project this past school year. I will post when the garden will be open and in need of helpers.
Happy Gardening!!!
