There are not enough words to truly explain how grateful I am for you. From the very beginning, you always told me, “If nothing else happens between us, we will always be friends.” That statement has stayed with me through every season of life because you have truly been more than my wife… you’ve been my best friend, my peace, my guidance, and one of God’s greatest blessings in my life. 🙏🏽✨

One of the biggest moments that confirmed in my heart that you were truly “the one” came from my grandmother Martha before she passed away. She looked me in my eyes and personally told me, “LaNisha is the right one and you should marry her.” ❤️🥹

My grandmother NEVER said that to me about any woman I had ever dated in my life. Ever. Coming from her, that meant everything to me. She saw your heart, your spirit, your loyalty, and the kind of woman you are before I could even fully explain it myself. That blessing has stayed with me ever since. 🌹🙏🏽

You stepped into my life and helped guide me onto a better path. You believed in me when I needed it most, pushed me toward growth, encouraged me to go back to school, and because of your love, support, patience, and sacrifices, I’ll soon be graduating next year with my Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Sports Leadership. 🎓📚❤️ That accomplishment belongs to both of us.

One thing I will forever appreciate about you is how supportive you have always been with my passion for boxing. 🥊❤️ Whether I was actively competing as a boxer, coaching our son and other young fighters, building young men and women through the sport, or now serving as an Athletic Inspector for the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), you have always stood beside me and embraced the world that shaped me.

Thank you for coming into my world and never trying to change who I am… only helping me become a better version of myself. 💪🏽👑

Stockton… this one is personal. ❤️🙏🏽

Over the years, I’ve met a lot of people who talk about change, leadership, and community. But very few actually LIVE it every single day the way my brother Shelly Hollis does. That’s why I proudly support for Stockton City Council District 1.

And to be completely honest, I’m not even originally from the state of California or from the city of Stockton. I came here from the other side of the country. So when I say I believe in Shelly Hollis, it’s not because of politics, popularity, or personal gain. It’s because I’ve watched how he moves, how he treats people, how he carries himself as a man, a father, a businessman, and a servant to this community. That kind of character stands out no matter where you’re from.

Shelly is more than a businessman. He’s someone who has invested his time, energy, and heart into the city of Stockton for years. He understands the struggles of our community because he’s lived among us, worked beside us, and never stopped showing up for the people. From supporting local businesses and youth programs to being active in the community, he has always carried himself with humility, leadership, and purpose.

But what stands out to me the most is the kind of father he is. Watching him lead, guide, protect, and love his children says everything about his character. A man who cares deeply about his family is a man who will care deeply about the future of our city. That matters. Our children deserve leaders who truly understand what’s at stake for the next generation.

If you really want to know who someone is, don’t just listen to speeches — watch how they live, how they treat people when nobody is watching, and how consistent they are in serving others. That’s Shelly Hollis.

This election is bigger than politics. It’s about choosing people who genuinely care about Stockton and who are willing to work for the people every single day.

This weekend in Stockton, CA, at the vs. fight, I wasn’t just working a boxing event, I was living a full-circle moment. 🥊🇺🇸

Having my son , my daughter , and my wife in the building meant everything. They weren’t just spectators. They were students of the game. They got to see what discipline looks like behind the scenes… what pressure feels like under the lights… and what it takes for boxing, life, and to be done the right way.

I loved every fight. Every round. Every moment.
What stood out most was working alongside some of the most serious, committed, and talented professionals in this industry, people who do this day in and day out, not as a hobby, but as a real career. A career many people say “isn’t possible,” until they see it with their own eyes.

My wife and I aren’t raising our kids just to compete, win matches, or collect medals.
We’re raising them to understand what they’re a part of.

Because if you’re going to chase something in life — sport, business, art, or service — you better be educated, prepared, and respect the craft. Talent alone doesn’t last. Knowledge, discipline, and character do.

This weekend wasn’t just about boxing.
It was about vision, legacy, and showing our children what real work looks like when passion meets responsibility.

From Las Vegas, NV — the City of Fighters — young lion locked in to be educated by his mentor. Under the mentorship of Welterweight Champion , this trip wasn’t a vacation… it was a combat briefing, it was connection, it went beyond the scope of boxing and into to character building. 🧠💪🏾 Every session, Every round, every sweat drop, every second was built with precision, discipline, and HEART‼️
