AMCP Pacific Student Chapter

Hello everyone,

Welcome to AMCP's Fall Fundraising Week (11/8-11/14)! Take a break from studying and treat yourself out to some boba and yummy food! You can also purchase our cute Pharmacy Pill Airpod Cases (compatible with Airpods Gen 1, 2 and Pro) for yourself or as a gift for your family and friends!

We are hosting fundraisers at the following restaurants:
Monday (11/08): T4
Tuesday (11/09): Blaze (5-9pm)
Wednesday (11/10): L&L (1-6pm)
Thursday (11/11): Quicklys
Friday (11/12): Happy Lemon
Saturday and Sunday (11/13-11/14): Kung Fu Tea

Why did you join AMCP: "I joined AMCP because I was interested in learning more about the non-traditional routes of pharmacy. I was especially intrigued by the growing field of managed care pharmacy and the various career opportunities within it. What drew me the most was that managed care pharmacists have the ability to largely influence patients' healthcare via clinical decisions that affect populations rather than individuals."

Fun fact: I like to binge watch TV shows/dramas, but I struggle to finish them. Fun examples include: Criminal Minds, Dexter, and Crash Landing on You 🖥
Why did you join AMCP: “I originally joined AMCP because I had no idea what managed care pharmacy was or what it entailed. So, I wanted to broaden my horizons to other aspects of pharmacy other than retail. I learned so much by being a member and through our speaker events that I hope other students will be inspired to explore more about managed care.”

Why did you join AMCP: “I was interested in managed care, but I felt that it wasn't that covered in class. Joining AMCP has let me learn more about a field that I didn't know much about before.”

Meet Mai Nguyen! ✨2021-2022 Vp of Finance✨

Why did you join AMCP: “I joined AMCP because I want to explore the different aspects of pharmacy that are different from the traditional community pharmacy setting. By joining AMCP, I am hoping to be able to establish more networking opportunities and become more familiar with the responsibility of a managed care pharmacist.”

Why did you join AMCP: “I joined AMCP to learn more about a field of pharmacy that was unfamiliar to me. I enjoyed being surrounded by like-minded people passionate about the same topics.”

Just a reminder that our first AMCP-Pacific General Meeting of this semester will be held today (Friday, January 15th) at 12pm in Rotonda R103!
