Meet this week’s spotlight: Jacob DeKok!

Jacob discovered CodeStack Academy after graduating from high school and completed the program in 2023. Today, he’s helping teach and support the next generation of Academy developers.
Outside of coding, Jacob enjoys a little bit of everything, from quiet nights playing games and watching movies to hiking, dancing, and meeting new people.

Meet this week’s spotlight: Joseph Obligar 👋
Joseph made the leap from nursing to software development, graduating from CodeStack Academy’s very first cohort in 2019. Today, he’s a Senior Software Engineer at CodeStack, where he continues to build impactful software while helping shape the next generation of developers.

When he’s away from the keyboard, you’ll find Joseph behind a camera capturing great moments, traveling whenever he gets the chance to recharge, or snowboarding with friends during the winter.
Joseph’s journey is a great reminder that it’s never too late to pursue a new path and build a career you’re passionate about.

✨ Meet this week’s spotlight: Isaiah Ferguson

Isaiah graduated from CodeStack Academy in 2023 and now serves as the Academy’s Coding Advocate, helping the next generation of Stockton developers discover careers in tech. Outside of CodeStack, he’s a martial arts coach with over 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, and an avid hiker who enjoys exploring new trails.

Meet this week’s spotlight: Aaron Robinson

Hi I’m Aaron! I’m one of the newer hires at Codestack and a Codestack Academy alumni! I study computer science at a local college and I’ve found that the academy helped me bolster my coding skills and set me up for success in my current role. Outside of coding, I like to cook, exercise and run races. I’ve ran a few marathons these past couple years and I’m preparing for a half marathon in November. My goal is to qualify for one of the top races in the country like the Chicago or Boston Marathon!
