A memorial in Ripon, CA honoring those from California who had lost their lives overseas.
Nearly 800 fallen soldiers were honored on display with 4 more honorable soldiers from California who had lost their lives during the evacuation mission in Afghanistan

Cadet Teresa Novoa. We are proudly recognizing one of our cadets who has graduated from our school and is now attending Fresno state. This program taking place in LANDSTUHL, Germany was a month-long program aiming to introduce future Army nurses currently enrolled in an ROTC program to military medicine and the roles and responsibilities of Army Nurse Corps officers.

One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans’ history as well. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11 with their acts of bravery and honor. And standing here wherever we are, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice.

Not only was he our fellow cadet, he was a friend of the Cougar Battalion
I, as well as other cadets have not personally met him, but the stories we’ve heard about him had brought smiles to our faces and we could just tell how many precious memories he had brought to our Cougar Family.

About a year ago today, we lost a cadet in the Cougar Battalion which was Jaishyne Lopez. He was not only an excellent cadet, he was a great friend, and he was family to the program. He had changed so many people's lives for the better and he helped the Weston Ranch Cougar Battalion grow into the amazing program that it is today. He achieved something that most people strive to do their whole lives, which is to be the best you. He always knew how to put a smile on other people's faces and he was a key component to our Battalions positive mortality. On behalf of the Cougar Battalion: Thank you Jaishyne, for being the best you can be and being an inspiration to everyone and everything you came across. Your family will always be in our prayers and we know your light will always shine upon us everyday. Sincerely, Weston Ranch High School JROTC.
