Tigers can become talented musicians here at TCK! Last Friday, Lincoln Unified music teachers demonstrated the musical instruments our students can play in Band, Choir and Strings classes. Choir and Strings are open to 4th - 6th Graders, while Band is available to 5th - 6th Graders.

Parents and guardians must sign a form for students to take our music elective classes. Forms were sent home with 4th - 6th Graders last Friday. If you have any questions, you may contact the front office.

Our new assistant principal believes in open minds, inclusion for all, and teamwork between students, families and staff. We are proud to welcome Jenniffer Leyva to Tully C. Knoles for the 2026-27 school year!

Mrs. Leyva has been an educator for at least 15 years, including seven as an administrator. As a teacher at Aspire Public Schools, she worked with 2nd, 3rd and 5th Graders, and previously oversaw long-term assignments for 6th - 8th Graders at Stockton Unified School District. Mrs. Leyva believes her past experiences supporting students in multiple grade levels have prepared her well for her new role as assistant principal at TCK.

In her first year with Lincoln Unified, Mrs. Leyva is excited to meet students and their families while learning about this community alongside Principal Nicole Merolla. Mrs. Leyva respects the many traditions of our school, and plans to continue strengthening proven programs and routines while bringing her own experience and perspective to support her fellow staff. As an instructional coach for the past ten years, Mrs. Leyva always looks forward to working alongside teachers and intends to be a kind, helpful presence across campus.

Mrs. Leyva looks forward to meeting students, parents and guardians throughout the school year. She plans to greet families during pickup and dropoff times whenever possible, and is always available to address any questions or concerns our families may have. Mrs. Leyva is happy to join the TCK community, and has this message for all Tigers:

“I am passionate about building relationships, supporting student growth, and creating a positive, safe and inclusive environment where every student can learn, grow and succeed.”

Can you believe it's already Summer Break? This month, our students enjoyed the warmer weather during outside learning sessions in our Life Lab. Last Friday, 5th Graders studied an earthworm's life cycle and practiced their note-taking skills on a beautiful afternoon outdoors.

We wish all our students and families an enjoyable and relaxing break, and look forward to seeing new and returning students for the Fall 2026 Semester!

The Promoting 8th Grade Class of 2026 led by example with commitment, creativity and compassion toward others. Throughout their time at Tully C. Knoles, these students left a positive impact on their classmates, younger students, and staff members across campus. Last night, we recognized their achievements and celebrated all the ways they have improved this school while wishing them well in high school and beyond.

Congratulations to our 8th Graders, who are true TCK Scholars!

Tigers enjoyed their journey through California's history! Yesterday, 3rd Graders dressed as pioneers who settled in our state over 150 years ago. They had the opportunity to partake in daily tasks of the mid-19th Century such as farming, laundry and using a hammer, and they enjoyed historic activities like making corn husk dolls.

Our students welcomed their fellow Tigers on an immersive trip to Ancient Egypt! Yesterday, 6th Graders presented projects in the form of posters, sculptures, drawings and slide shows. These students researched specific topics relating to Egypt, including language, sports, well-known figures and the many famous Pyramids in the country's history.
