Whether they've been here since Kindergarten or just started this year, our 8th Graders have brought positivity, creativity and remarkable leadership to Colonial Heights. At our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, we recognized the academic achievements of these Cougars, gave them special honors such as the Principal's Award, and watched two Student Speakers share the memories from Colonial Heights that will stay with them forever.

Congratulations to our Class of 2026, who will continue to inspire others in high school and beyond!

The maintenance and grounds workers of Lincoln Unified make Colonial Heights more safe and secure by fixing structures and equipment across our campus. Last week, Paul Avila worked with maintenance lead Art Medina to install a perforated screen on our fence. We thank them for all they do to improve this school!

Our 7th and 8th Graders won some impressive victories at the Lincoln Lympics today! We're proud of all the Cougars who represented Colonial Heights at this district-wide competition through good sportsmanship, camaraderie and caring for each other.

Cougars work to develop their literacy so they can become better writers every year. This morning, students were proud to show their letters, stories, research papers and other writing assignments at the Young Authors Showcase in our Multi-Use Room. We appreciate all the families who stopped by today to celebrate our compelling, creative writers!

Our students are sharing their feelings and favorite things through drumming! Cougars in the after school program are enjoying percussion lessons with Zan Headley of DrumBus. Yesterday, Zan led his class on a call-and-response drum exercise and gave students the opportunity to hit their drums with different tempos and intensity levels to match their emotions.

Colonial Heights' student leadership invites you to see the Stockton Ports play the Fresno Grizzlies this Friday! Every ticket for this game will benefit our students and programs, and the first 1,000 fans to go through the gates will receive a free pair of Ports Pajama Pants.

April is the perfect month to visit the Colonial Heights Library! Throughout School Library Month, Mrs. Blount welcomes Cougars to check out exciting new books, and is helping classes stay engaged with reading through story time sessions. This morning, our Kindergartners were happy to experience some special stories with their classmates.

Colonial Heights students are already planning ahead for a bright future after high school! In light of our character trait "Cougar Scholars," 8th Graders recently took a field trip to San Joaquin Delta College to explore college and career options. Our students toured the chemistry department, athletics, on-campus jobs and CTE programs like welding and automotive studies.
